In short

Chassis P/1075 won Le Mans in both 1968 and 1969, car number 9 in Gulf livery, captured in a 1:43 scale model die-cast by IXO Models.

Chassis P/1075 won the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans with Pedro Rodríguez and Lucien Bianchi, then repeated that victory in 1969 with the same chassis. IXO Models documents this result in 1:43 die-cast form.

Ford GT40 Mk I — Engineering Built to Beat Ferrari

The GT40 Mk I was Ford's answer to a personal challenge from Henry Ford II after a failed attempt to acquire Ferrari in 1963. In its 1968 Le Mans configuration it ran a 4.9-litre (302 cu in) Ford V8. In 1968 the GT40 raced in the Group 4 Sports category limited to 5 litres (prototypes were limited to 3 litres), and the smaller-displacement unit proved entirely sufficient to take the outright win.

Le Mans 1968: Rodríguez, Bianchi and the Gulf Livery

JW Automotive Engineering, managed by John Wyer and backed by Gulf Oil, ran the GT40 programme from 1968 onward. Car number 9, co-driven by Mexican Pedro Rodríguez and Belgian Lucien Bianchi, won the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans outright — Rodríguez's sole Le Mans victory. The Gulf livery of powder blue bodywork with orange roundels and stripes is one of the most recognised colour schemes in motorsport.

IXO Models 1:43 Die-Cast

IXO Models presents chassis P/1075 in 1:43 die-cast metal. The model replicates the Gulf livery as raced in 1968: powder blue body, orange stripes, and the number 9 roundel. Die-cast construction at this scale allows precise surface detailing including panel lines and livery graphics.
