Looksmart's 1:12 scale model car of the Ferrari 499P No. 83 documents one of the most internationally composed driver line-ups in the 2025 FIA WEC Hypercar class: a former Formula 1 race winner, a seasoned British endurance specialist and a Ferrari Driver Academy graduate sharing a carbon-fibre LMH prototype at the Circuit de la Sarthe. The resin model is supplied with a purpose-made showcase.
Ferrari's LMH Contender: the 499P
The Ferrari 499P is the Maranello manufacturer's Le Mans Hypercar built to the 2021 LMH regulations. Its power unit combines a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 mounted mid-rear with a Magneti Marelli front-axle electric motor, the combined output governed by ACO Balance of Performance to approximately 500 kW. The car rides on a carbon-fibre monocoque developed entirely in-house and must meet the class minimum weight of 1,030 kg. Ferrari debuted the 499P at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans, winning outright on its first appearance.
AF Corse, Car No. 83 and the 2025 Le Mans Entry
AF Corse — the Piacenza-based outfit led by Amato Ferrari, bearing no corporate relation to the manufacturer — is Ferrari's long-standing official competition partner. The team expanded into the WEC Hypercar class with customer 499P entries from 2024 onwards, running the No. 83 car alongside the works programme. For the 93rd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, held on 14–15 June 2025 at the Circuit de la Sarthe, AF Corse fielded car No. 83 for Robert Kubica, Phil Hanson and Yifei Ye. Kubica won the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix with BMW Sauber before building an endurance career; Hanson had previously won at Le Mans in LMP2 with United Autosports; Ye is a Ferrari Driver Academy graduate with multiple Le Mans starts to his name.
The 1:12 Scale Model by Looksmart
Looksmart is an Italian resin model manufacturer with an established reputation for Ferrari and endurance racing replicas, predominantly in 1:43 and 1:18. The 1:12 format is a premium tier the maker reserves for select subjects, and the Ferrari 499P qualifies on both historical and aerodynamic complexity grounds. Construction is in resin throughout — a material that allows the LMH's layered bodywork, cooling ducts and livery graphics to be reproduced with a fidelity that diecast tooling at this scale would rarely match. No opening parts are confirmed for this model; surface and livery detail is where Looksmart concentrates the work. A showcase is included with the model.
In the Display Cabinet
At 1:12, the Ferrari 499P makes a commanding presence on the shelf — plan for a generous shelf depth to accommodate the prototype's wide front aero package and extended rear diffuser. The model pairs naturally with other Looksmart Ferrari 499P variants from the 2025 WEC season, or with rival LMH subjects such as the Porsche 963 or Toyota GR010 in the same scale, building a Hypercar class snapshot from the Circuit de la Sarthe. The included showcase means it can stand alone as a self-contained display piece from the moment it arrives.
