In short

A 1:18 scale model of Mansell's Williams FW14 Renault No. 5 from the 1991 Monaco GP, finished second behind Senna. Werk83 renders the Canon/Camel/Labatt's livery in die-cast metal at 1:18.

The Williams FW14 was the car that brought Nigel Mansell within reach of a world title in 1991, only for Ayrton Senna to deny him by a single race. Werk83's 1:18 die-cast captures a precise moment in that contest: Round 4 of the 1991 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, 12 May 1991, Circuit de Monaco, where Mansell qualified second on the grid and crossed the line second behind Senna's McLaren MP4/6.

Patrick Head and Adrian Newey's 1991 Design

The FW14 was engineered by Patrick Head and Adrian Newey for the 1991 Formula 1 season, powered by the Renault RS3 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V10. Car No. 5 was assigned to Nigel Mansell for the full season, with Riccardo Patrese in No. 6. The FW14 was the development platform for the semi-automatic gearbox and active suspension systems that Williams would refine into the dominant FW14B the following year, making the 1991 chassis a pivotal step in the team's engineering history.

Monte Carlo, 12 May 1991: Mansell versus Senna

At Monaco, Senna took pole with Mansell lining up directly behind him on the front row. The race ran that order to the flag: Senna won for McLaren, Mansell took second in the Williams FW14 No. 5. Mansell finished the 1991 season as runner-up in the Drivers' Championship with 72 points, one position and one year short of the title he would claim with the FW14B in 1992. The blue and white Canon livery, with its Camel yellow nose and sidepod trim and Labatt's branding, is one of the most immediately recognisable Williams colour schemes of the early 1990s.

Werk83's 1:18 Die-Cast Execution

Werk83 has developed a reputation in the 1:18 Formula 1 segment for accurate livery reproduction and precise construction. This model is produced in die-cast metal at 1:18 scale, representing the No. 5 car as it appeared at the 1991 Monaco Grand Prix. The Canon/Camel/Labatt's graphics across the blue, white and yellow body are a direct test of any manufacturer's livery accuracy at this scale, and a defining visual reference for collectors focused on the Williams lineage of the early 1990s.
