The 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans, run on 15–16 June at the Circuit de la Sarthe, introduced the LMGT3 category for the first time, replacing GTE-Am. Manthey Racing fielded two factory-supported Porsche 911 GT3 R entries in that inaugural class, and between them the two cars delivered both the outright Le Mans class victory and the FIA WEC LMGT3 Drivers' Championship. Built to global GT3 regulations, it drives through a sequential six-speed racing gearbox and is homologated for GT3-class series across multiple continents, making it one of the most widely deployed front-line GT3 platforms of the current era.
Two Manthey Entries, Two Titles — Le Mans 2024
Car #91, entered as Manthey EMA and driven by Richard Lietz, Morris Schuring and Yasser Shahin, completed 281 laps to win the LMGT3 class outright. Car #92, run under the Manthey PureRxcing banner with Klaus Bachler, Alex Malykhin and Joel Sturm, qualified second in class, led through much of the night, then retired from victory contention after a gearbox failure in the morning hours, eventually classified 14th in class. Despite that Le Mans setback, the #92 crew of Bachler, Malykhin and Sturm clinched the 2024 FIA WEC LMGT3 Drivers' Championship across the full season. The two cars ran visually contrasting Manthey liveries: #91 in predominantly white with green and black accents, #92 in a striking black and yellow scheme.
The Minichamps 1:43 Scale Model Set
Minichamps produced this two-car 1:43 scale model in die-cast metal, reproducing both the #91 and #92 Manthey entries exactly as they ran at Le Mans on 15–16 June 2024. The set is limited to 191 pieces worldwide, making it among the most restricted Minichamps releases tied to the 2024 race. Each model replicates the specific livery of its respective entry, from the white-and-green scheme of #91 to the black and yellow finish of #92.
