The Hyundai i20 N Rally1: hybrid-era WRC weapon

Introduced for the 2022 WRC Rally1 regulations, the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 combines a 1.6-litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine with a 100 kW hybrid unit supplied by Compact Dynamics, delivering approximately 380 bhp in total. Based on the road-going i20 N, the car is extensively reworked to comply with Rally1 technical requirements. It made its competitive debut at the 2022 Rallye Monte-Carlo, extending Hyundai's WRC programme that began in 2014, and runs on Pirelli tyres under the manufacturer's official WRC supply contract.
