TOURING Modelcars is the own brand of Ravensberger Handelskontor, the German wholesaler that has supplied scale model cars to resellers around the world since 1994 under the management of Thomas Langejürgen. Founded in 2021 and based in Herford, the brand presented its first own releases in 2022 and focuses on 1:18 road cars: the convertibles, coupés and family estates that shaped European motoring. The stylised steering wheel in its logo is the brand's signature.

Touring models are appreciated for their opening doors and bonnets, carefully reproduced engine bays and interiors, and limited editions of no more than 700 to 900 pieces per version. At Vroomi you will find the Fiat 124 Pininfarina Spider Europa with soft top, the Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider 1600 Coda Tonda, the Opel Kadett B Caravan and the Ford Granada Coupé, each in an authentic period colour. A rich level of detail at a fair price, for collectors who love classic road cars.

In short

The late-production Fiat 124 Spider Europa is captured in die-cast at 1:18, replicating the Pininfarina-built 1982 soft-top convertible in green with roof closed.

The Fiat 124 Spider Europa of 1982 sits near the end of one of Italian open-top motoring's longer stories — a car conceived by Pininfarina, built by Pininfarina, and sold under the Fiat badge from 1966 through 1985. By the early 1980s the Europa series had become the export-market mainstay. This 1:18 die-cast documents that specific moment in production.

A Pininfarina Roadster Built for Export

The second-generation 124 Spider — identified by its CS1 and CS2 bodywork — was produced exclusively by Pininfarina on behalf of Fiat from its introduction through to the end of production in 1985. The Europa designation distinguished export-market cars from approximately 1979 onward. The body style remained a soft-top convertible cabriolet throughout the entire nineteen-year production run.

1982 and the End of an Era

By 1982 the 124 Spider Europa was in its final chapter. Fiat would exit the Spider market in 1985, after which Pininfarina continued selling badge-engineered versions under its own name — the Pininfarina Spider Europa. The 1982 model year therefore occupies a historically significant position: a car still carrying the Fiat badge, still built on the Pininfarina production line. Green was among the body colours offered during this period, a choice that contrasts with the more prevalent red or white finishes typically associated with the model.

The 1:18 Die-Cast

This 1982 Europa has been reproduced in die-cast metal at 1:18, with the soft-top depicted in the closed position. The 1:18 scale gives the Pininfarina body lines room to read correctly, particularly the long bonnet-to-cockpit proportion and the low roofline that define the silhouette. The green finish allows the sculpted flanks and the fastback-style rear treatment to register clearly without the visual noise of racing livery or complex graphics.

Frequently asked questions

Who designed and built the original Fiat 124 Spider Europa?

Pininfarina designed the 124 Spider and built every car on behalf of Fiat from 1966 through 1985. The Europa designation applied to export-market versions produced from approximately 1979 onward.

What material is the model made from?

It is a die-cast metal model at 1:18 scale, with the soft-top depicted closed.

Why does the 1982 model year matter historically?

Fiat exited the Spider market in 1985, after which Pininfarina continued selling badge-engineered versions under its own name. The 1982 car is one of the last built under the Fiat badge, making it a notable endpoint for both Fiat and Pininfarina collectors.
