Round 6 of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship brought Lewis Hamilton to Miami Gardens in his first season wearing Ferrari red — a move he had signed for while still at Mercedes, contracted through at least the end of 2027. Looksmart, an officially licensed Ferrari supplier and part of MR Group, has translated that specific weekend into a hand-made composite resin 1:18 scale model, complete with display showcase.
Ferrari SF-25 — The 71st F1 Car from Maranello
Designated internally as project 677, the SF-25 is the fourth ground-effect car Ferrari has produced under the 2022 regulations framework and the 71st Formula 1 car in the Scuderia's history. Its most consequential engineering departure from the SF-24 is the switch to a pull-rod front suspension layout — a geometry change with significant implications for front-end aerodynamic packaging. Power comes from the Ferrari Tipo 066/15, a 1.6-litre 90-degree turbocharged V6 spinning to 15,000 RPM; combined with MGU-K and MGU-H, total system output reaches approximately 901 bhp. Kerb weight is 800 kg inclusive of the driver, excluding fuel. Brakes are Brembo; wheels are BBS 13.2×18 at the front and 16.9×18 at the rear.
One Race, One Livery: Miami 2025 and the HP Anniversary Design
The 2025 Miami Grand Prix marked exactly one year since HP Inc. became Scuderia Ferrari's title partner — first announced at the 2024 Miami race. To celebrate, Ferrari and HP co-engineered a one-off livery: Ferrari red paired with HP's electric blue and white across the engine cover, rear wing, front wing and white-painted wheels. For the first time in Scuderia Ferrari's history, the design incorporated asymmetric graphic elements. The wrap film itself was a technical exercise: up to 14 per cent lighter and 17 per cent thinner than previous materials, PVC-free, fully recyclable, and applied via HP's latest latex printing technology. The livery was unveiled on 30 April 2025 in downtown Miami. Hamilton qualified 12th for the Grand Prix and finished eighth, 60.186 seconds behind winner Oscar Piastri. On the Saturday, he stood on the Sprint Race podium in third place, scoring 6 points.
Looksmart at 1:18 — Hand-Made Resin Construction
Looksmart produces this model by hand in composite resin, the material of choice for high-fidelity single-seater replicas where the complex aerodynamic surfaces — front wing, diffuser, halo — demand fine cross-sections that pressure die-cast zinc cannot reliably reproduce. The 1:18 version carries race number 44, a driver figure, Pirelli tyre markings and the full complement of Ferrari and sponsor graphics. The body is sealed — characteristic of resin single-seater construction — with surface detail concentrated on the external aerodynamic bodywork. A display showcase is included. Looksmart also offers a companion 1:43 version of the same car and event.
In the Display Cabinet
A 1:18 Formula 1 car occupies roughly 28–30 cm of shelf length, so a shelf depth of at least 12 cm is advisable to accommodate the rear wing. The model pairs naturally with Looksmart's SF-25 in Charles Leclerc's #16 Miami specification — the only other car to carry the same asymmetric HP livery that weekend. Further context comes from Hamilton's Australian GP SF-25, the car of his Ferrari debut, and the Looksmart or Spark SF-24 from the 2024 Miami race that first introduced the HP partnership identity. Together they document the opening chapter of Hamilton's time at Maranello across a single shelf.
Frequently asked questions
How big is the 1:18 scale model?
The FIA 2025 regulations permit a maximum overall length of 5,600 mm for a Formula 1 car. At 1:18 scale, that ceiling translates to approximately 31 cm; in practice, most current-generation cars with front wing produce a model in the 28–30 cm range. Plan for at least 30 cm of shelf length and 12 cm of depth to clear the rear wing plane. The included display showcase sets the footprint for you.
Does the model have opening parts?
No. This is a sealed one-piece resin body, which is standard practice for hand-made single-seater replicas at this scale. Surface detail is concentrated on the external aerodynamic bodywork: the pull-rod front suspension geometry, front wing, halo structure, engine cover with HP electric blue graphics, rear diffuser, and the asymmetric livery graphics unique to the 2025 Miami Grand Prix.
What makes the Miami livery significant for a collection?
The asymmetric red, electric blue and white HP design was run on exactly two cars — #44 Hamilton and #16 Leclerc — for one race weekend only, 2–4 May 2025. It has not been repeated. It also marked the first time in Scuderia Ferrari's history that an asymmetric graphic scheme appeared on a race car, and the wrap film itself was a documented materials collaboration between Ferrari and HP.
Is this Hamilton's first Ferrari model at 1:18 scale?
No. Looksmart has produced other SF-25 variants covering Hamilton's 2025 debut at the Australian Grand Prix and the Chinese Grand Prix Sprint, where he took his first Ferrari win. The Miami GP model is distinct because it is the only one to carry the one-off HP anniversary livery and represents the Sprint Race podium finish on 3 May 2025.
