Ferrari's return to the top of endurance racing is documented in miniature here. This Looksmart 1:18 scale model reproduces the No. 51 Ferrari 499P LMH as it ran in the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 15–16 June 2024, in Rosso Corsa with Shell, Richard Mille and Enilive sponsor markings. It is one part of a remarkable AF Corse result that saw Ferrari lock out first and third in the Hypercar classification.
Ferrari's First Le Mans Hypercar
The Ferrari 499P is Ferrari's first prototype built to FIA WEC Le Mans Hypercar regulations, making its competitive debut in 2023. At its heart sits a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 internal combustion unit paired with a front-axle electric motor; combined system output is capped at 500 kW in line with LMH regulations. The 499P's arrival marked Ferrari's first top-category endurance prototype programme since the 333 SP era, and the chassis has proven immediately competitive at the highest level of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Three Drivers, One Podium: Le Mans 2024
Car No. 51, entered by AF Corse, was assigned to Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi for the full 2024 FIA WEC season. At Le Mans, the trio brought the car home 3rd overall in the Hypercar class, behind the winning No. 50 Ferrari 499P of Fuoco, Molina and Nielsen and the 2nd-placed Toyota GR010 Hybrid No. 7. Giovinazzi, a Formula 1 race starter with Alfa Romeo from 2019 to 2021, contributed endurance mileage and crossover appeal to a crew already well established in Ferrari's factory programme. The result gave Ferrari a 1–3 in the Hypercar class and extended the Scuderia's WEC Hypercar dominance into a second consecutive year.
Looksmart's 1:18 Resin Construction
Looksmart builds its 1:18 range exclusively in resin, a material that allows sharp surface definition on complex LMH bodywork — diffusers, dive planes, vented fenders and layered aerodynamic surfaces. The No. 51 livery is reproduced in Rosso Corsa, with AF Corse and Ferrari branding plus the 2024 sponsor graphics from Shell, Richard Mille and Enilive rendered at scale. Resin construction means the body is a sealed, one-piece unit; detail is concentrated on the exterior aerodynamic surfaces rather than an opening interior.
In the Display Cabinet
At 1:18, the Ferrari 499P is a substantial piece that makes a generous presence on any shelf dedicated to WEC hypercars. The No. 51 pairs naturally with a No. 50 Ferrari 499P to recreate the 2024 Le Mans 1–3 podium — the Toyota GR010 Hybrid No. 7 completing the set. It also sits coherently alongside Looksmart's 1:18 replica of the No. 51 from the 2023 race, where Pier Guidi and Calado took Ferrari's first Le Mans overall victory since 1965, making both models a paired narrative of Ferrari's LMH era.
