Ferrari unveiled the 12Cilindri on 27 May 2024 at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, positioning it as the direct spiritual successor to the 812 Superfast. The Berlinetta variant chosen for this model carries the optional panoramic glass roof panel — an exclusive to the coupe body style — and wears the bespoke Verde Britannico livery, a deep British-racing-green shade available through Ferrari's Tailor Made personalisation programme, paired with yellow contrast details that sharpen the car's long-bonnet GT silhouette.
Ferrari's Last Great Naturally-Aspirated V12 GT
The 12Cilindri sits atop Ferrari's front-engined GT lineage, evolved from the 812 Superfast and 812 GTS platform. Its 6.5-litre V12 — carried over with revised tuning from the 812 Competizione — produces 819 hp at 9,500 rpm and 678 Nm of torque. The Berlinetta reaches 100 km/h in under 2.9 seconds and exceeds 340 km/h. It is one of the most dynamically focused naturally-aspirated road cars Ferrari has produced in the modern era.
Verde Britannico and the Art of Tailor Made
Verde Britannico is not a standard catalogue colour: it is a deep, heritage-inflected British-racing-green shade offered through Ferrari's Tailor Made personalisation programme. On the 12Cilindri's long bonnet and fastback roofline, the colour acquires a different character from the more familiar Rosso Corsa, referencing the marque's grand-touring roots rather than its racing identity. The yellow contrast detailing reinforces that duality. The panoramic glass roof panel — standard on this example — adds a further layer of visual depth to the cabin when viewed through the showcase.
BBR Models: Resin at 1:18
BBR Models is an Italian resin model manufacturer with a long-established specialism in 1:18 and 1:43 Ferrari replicas. Resin construction allows the maker to render complex surface geometry — the 12Cilindri's sculpted flanks, aerodynamic underbody and panoramic roof — at a fidelity that die-cast tooling rarely matches at this scale. Paint depth on bespoke colours such as Verde Britannico is a particular strength of BBR's finishing process, where multiple coats are applied and polished by hand.
In the Display Cabinet
The model is supplied with a purpose-made display showcase, making it shelf-ready from the moment it arrives. The 1:18 format suits wider cabinets designed for GT and sports car models; the 12Cilindri's proportions — long bonnet, compact tail — read well in this scale and make a striking presence on the shelf. Natural companions include BBR's own 1:18 renditions of the 812 Competizione and 812 Superfast, or a Ferrari Daytona SP3, which shares the V12 naturally-aspirated theme across Ferrari's contemporary Icona series.
