In short

The #32 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 EVO led all 170 laps of the 2025 Suzuka 1000 km to give BMW its first win there since 1982. TrueScale Miniatures documents the GEN M livery result in resin at 1:43.

On 14 September 2025, Kelvin van der Linde, Raffaele Marciello and Charles Weerts converted pole position into an outright victory at the 49th Suzuka 1000 km — Round 4 of the 2025 Intercontinental GT Challenge — completing 170 laps in 6:30:27.081. TrueScale Miniatures reproduces the #32 in resin as a 1:43 scale model, freezing one of the most complete GT endurance performances of the season in a format built for serious display cabinets.

The BMW M4 GT3 EVO: G82 Bloodline, Racing Specification

The M4 GT3 EVO is a 2025-season update of a car first raced in the Nürburgring Endurance Series on 26 June 2021. Its P58 engine — a 3.0-litre straight-six M TwinPower Turbo producing up to 590 hp (432 kW) from 2,993 cm³ — is paired with an X-Trac 6-speed sequential gearbox with electro-hydraulic clutch. The EVO revision, unveiled at the Nürburgring on 29 May 2024, brought a lighter cathodic-dip chassis coating, enlarged front wheel-arch air outlets and a revised rear wing adjustment range. Official BMW M dimensions: 5,020 mm long, 2,040 mm wide, 1,308 mm tall on a 2,917 mm wheelbase.

BMW's First Suzuka 1000 km Win in 43 Years

The race returned to the IGTC calendar after a six-year hiatus — the previous edition was held in 2019. The #32 qualified on pole with a best combined average of 2:00.658 across three 15-minute sessions and never relinquished the lead, crossing the line 13.647 seconds ahead of the #7 Absolute Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R. It was BMW's first overall victory at Suzuka since a Group 5 BMW M1 won the 1982 International Suzuka 1000 km. The result was also the marque's third IGTC win of 2025, following Team WRT at Bathurst and ROWE Racing at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, extending BMW's manufacturers' championship lead. Van der Linde took the points lead in the IGTC drivers' standings.

TrueScale Miniatures in Resin at 1:43

TrueScale Miniatures — also traded as TSM Model — produces this piece in resin, the material of choice for 1:43 scale model cars requiring sharp surface definition without the tooling compromises of diecast. The body carries the GEN M livery in its predominantly dark bordeaux and matt black colourway, BMW M Motorsport's cross-platform 'United by Performance' campaign identity for 2025. BMW M's own race report on the Suzuka result is titled 'GEN M car wins in Suzuka', confirming the livery's significance beyond a single event. There are no opening parts; surface fidelity is concentrated on the GT3 bodywork, aerodynamic elements and race graphics of the winning car.

Scale, Display Space and Collection Context

At approximately 11.5 cm in length, the model occupies a compact footprint suited to multi-car GT endurance shelves. The natural companions are the #31 Team WRT sister car (Farfus/Harper/Hesse, sixth overall at Suzuka), the Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 EVO Bathurst 12 Hour winner from IGTC Round 1, and the ROWE Racing Nürburgring 24 Hours winner — together the three models document BMW's complete 2025 IGTC manufacturers' campaign. The presentation-specification GEN M EVO from TrueScale Miniatures provides a pre-race reference point alongside the Suzuka winner.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the 1:43 scale model?

The BMW M4 GT3 EVO measures 5,020 mm in real life. Divided by 43, the model comes out at approximately 11.5 cm in length — compact enough to fit comfortably on a standard display shelf alongside other 1:43 GT cars, but substantial enough to show the GT3 bodywork in full.

Does the model have opening parts?

No. As a resin model, the body is a sealed one-piece construction with no opening doors, bonnet or engine cover. Detail is concentrated on the exterior surfaces: the GT3 aerodynamic bodywork, the GEN M bordeaux and matt black livery graphics, and the race-specification wing and diffuser elements.

What material is the model made from, and who makes it?

The model is cast in resin by TrueScale Miniatures, also known as TSM Model. Resin allows the manufacturer to reproduce fine panel lines, aerodynamic details and livery graphics at 1:43 scale with greater precision than diecast tooling typically permits at this size.

Why is the 2025 Suzuka 1000 km result historically significant for BMW?

The #32's victory on 14 September 2025 was BMW's first overall win at the Suzuka 1000 km since a Group 5 BMW M1 won the 1982 edition — a gap of 43 years. The race also returned after a six-year absence from the calendar, and the result extended BMW's lead in the 2025 IGTC manufacturers' standings.
