# Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 1972 White Red Minichamps 1:18

> Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 rendered in 1:18 die-cast by Minichamps: white bodywork, red Carrera lettering, red wheels, and three opening panels including the engine lid.

Unveiled at the October 1972 Paris Motor Show, the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was conceived to qualify for GT racing. This Minichamps 1:18 scale model car captures the road-going specification as delivered to private customers from late 1972.

## A Porsche Built to Qualify

The RS 2.7 was built for GT racing eligibility. Weight reduction came through thinner body steel and the deletion of sound deadening — nothing extraneous was carried.

## The Ducktail, the Script and the Racing Lineage

Two details define the RS 2.7 at a glance: the signature ducktail rear spoiler and the wide rear arches. That road-car recipe translated directly into the RSR race variant, which dominated GT competition in 1973–74.

## Minichamps Die-Cast at 1:18: What the Model Delivers

Minichamps produced this replica in die-cast metal at 1:18 scale. Three panels open: the front bonnet (frunk), both doors and the engine lid — the last of these revealing a detailed engine compartment. Interior trim is authentically reproduced, and the front wheels turn. The model features white bodywork with red Carrera lettering and matching red wheels.
